Can't change cotrols. Takes forever to load. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.Oh and if you play anyway, don't double KO on the wizard boss or you will have to start over from the beginning : the key that drops will be lost forever and you won't be able to open doors to continue the game... neat huh?. The idea of this game is amazing. However, I have never been able to even play the game. Each time I've purchased it, it never works. I see that, on occasion, it gets updated, but nothing changes. Same ole crap. I would play a game like this in an instant. Just as long as it runs properly.. The idea of this game is amazing. However, I have never been able to even play the game. Just as long as it runs properly.. These dudes might be better off selling sountracks if they don't update this. Task manager to the rescue.. Overall I enjoyed my time with this game, the SNES style graphics, and music takes you on a nostalgia trip back to the glory days of gaming! There are a few technical issues with the game starting with the long load time(takes close to two minutes for me). Toward the end of the game I ran into a few code error messages, but not frequently enough to ruin my experience. The collision is also a bit suspect at times. I could go through a lot of walls that you are not meant to go through, and even suffered a few cheap deaths from falling through the ground. I also had a bit of trouble setting up my controller initially, I had to use JoyToKey to get it to works, since my Sabrent controller was not compatible at all; however that more likely an issue with the engine and not the game itself. These issues aside I really enjoyed the gameplay. There are a ton of secret sprinkled throughout the land, and I had a lot of fun just getting lost and exploring. The combat is also pretty enjoyable too and you are given a nice variety of characters to adventure with!Pros: Nice graphics and music. Many Secrets to Discover.Good Variety of Characters. Cons: Long Load Time.A bit buggy with suspect collision and a few code error pop ups.Setting up controller was a bit of a hassle.. Although there are multiple characters to play as, no true "metroid progression" style, and for the most part optional upgrades it still feels like it has a lot of backtracking when you realise you need more potions to keep up your health, or upgrades to do more damage. I still think that overall it's great, other than the familiars which require you to move the mouse to move the familiar, as well as control the character.. Of all the games that are available, this one is fun and simple, rewarding since you upgrade as you go, with fun little secrets and puzzling mysteries... Does anyone want to share info about what you get after the alien\/ metroid level with a medusa\/ Zardoz type boss? My wife and I enjoy exploring and blasting our way through levels, cooperatively beating bosses, and the music is delightful. If you have questions, go to the game's facebook page and you can expect a quick response. No need to crack down on the game. Perhaps it is more a MegaManVania with quaint fantasy elements and less a MetroidVania but for those who enjoy it, it is just what we were looking for.
